I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! I ordered a cake, for my daughter's birthday, and gave specific instructions. It is very difficult to communicate when employees only speak Spanish. The cake was uneven and it definitely did NOT look like the picture I gave them, nor did it look like a professional baker made the cake. It is so disheartening when an employee & the owner stand there and insist there is nothing wrong with the cake. Presentation was terrible for such an expensive cake. However, I must say, the owner did the right thing by keeping the cake and fully refunding my money back. I will NEVER order a cake from this place again!!

D’Events Bakery did a fabulous job with our wedding cake order. They were very professional and a joy to work with from beginning to end. Our cake tasting experience was amazing and we loved everything so much that we winded up expanding our order to a wedding cake, groom’s cake, cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, individual tres leches cakes, and wedding cookies. Every item was baked and frosted to perfection! The Swiss Meringue frosting was the best I ever had and the cake filling was amazing. I highly recommend this bakery for all your baking needs; they will handle your order with excellence and care. It will be beautiful and delicious!

The cakes here are delicious and beautiful!! D’Event made my wedding cake and I loved it so much I hired them to custom make my baby shower cake, which came out just as amazing! They delivered it early the day of the baby shower, which I really appreciated a lot. My only complaint is that an employee named Danielle is extremely rude. During the course of ordering my custom cake, I was given her number to communicate and coordinate everything. She ignored me, lied about trying to call me, and had a horrible attitude. But honestly, I was so happy with the cake and delivery that dealing with Danielle was worth it. I will order from D’Event for any future events!! Update: taking off one more star for the staff and owner being super difficult ONCE AGAIN when my husband was trying to order me a cake for my birthday. And this time, the cake wasn’t that good. Honestly, I’m rethinking my decision that dealing with the people who work here is worth it for the cake.

I was in a journey and in a hurry to find a cake specialty bakery shop. Went to Gloria's cakes in Harlingen and my daughter birthday was 2 weeks away and they told me they weren't taking any more cake orders. Will my business is not wanted there and won't go there anymore. So I surely made the right decision by going to D'event Cake Shop. They told me right away yes and made a beautiful and great tasting cake for my 24 year old daughter day. My family asked who made it and I mentioned D'event and were amaze of how beautiful and great tasting cake it was. I will be going again for other special events that will be coming up for their beautiful cakes. The Satisfaction and how by the photo I wanted the cake to look and the flavors were to perfection. I will definitely recommend D'event for cake ordering for anyone including family and friends.

I came from overseas to visit my in-laws and my parents flew over from Florida as well. Called on Tuesday to get a surprise birthday cake for my mom's 60th the following Monday and they made a beautiful cake which was delicious. It was for 25 people and there was just 5 of us but it was gone by Thursday cause we all just couldn't stop eating it. Thank you so much D'event bakers and staff for making my mom's 60th special!
